This is Doubting Thomas! I called him that as I bought him December 2024 full of tiny buds which all fell off when I got him home. Then as I looked him up I realised he wasn’t a Christmas cactus at all. He was either an Easter or Thanksgiving cactus! So I spent all this year carefully watering, feeding and misting him wondering if he would ever flower. Look how he has rewarded me - awe and to think i ever doubted him!

Stunning. Definitely thanksgiving im sure you know but idk made me think. Ive honestly never seen a Thanksgiving cactus labeled correctly, or even a christmas cactus plant in general at that. Only this one and easter. Idk why that is

Maybe they are raised in green houses and forced to flower at the wrong times for sale etc.

Haha I’m sure he loves you. I was surprised by how much misting watering and fertilising they need. I let mine dry out between watering then let it have a good watering until the excess ran out of the bottom. It seems to have helped.

Apparently it’s the drop in temperature which triggers them to produce buds. So with Thomas I put him on the kitchen window sill as that is an unheated room. 🥶. Mine started off with one flower then the rest followed.
