Hi all, should I water? They are under a grow light and no water at all winter long. I don’t want to kill them with water, but they seem so thirsty. Please help!

They definitely don't need a lot of water but I think I would give them some. Some people just mist them. Personally I think the soil needs water occasionally.

Do you think they are changing there old leaves? I read so many things and the opposite that I’m totally confused about watering lithops
0 Me gustaI did a little looking and learned that new leaves are produced after flowering. You should water lightly in spring and fall but not in summer and winter. They grow in very poor soil but a low nitrogen high potassium fertilizer will encourage them to flower (that would be in the analysis number the first number is low and the third number is a little higher)
1 me gustaI would give them a drink. Not, like, dunking. I use a cartoonishly-large syringe when watering Lithops in multi-plant pots; I can aim better. Yes, it is madness.
5 Me gustaNot madness just a very practical solution to the problem.

1 me gustaI got the tip from someone local who grows cactus from seed - mostly Astrophytum that need to look pretty up top. The sight of the syringe makes everyone hesitantly ask why/what ha.
0 Me gustaThese are not lithops. Similar to them and split rocks, but slightly different care. But you have some very good ones.
1 me gustaHere is what I mean by madness. This pot ended up being an experiment. This warzone is courtesy of mealybugs. That is, I made hard decisions about removing leaves and digging out all the crevices with various soaps. X’s represent fallen soldiers (lol), and this is why I have to use the syringe 🩺
0 Me gustaWhere did you get such a large syringe?
1 me gustaNow I feel challenged! I've never seen lithops so large and beautiful. I must try and do it! The first picture not the second picture.
1 me gustaAmazon. It came with so many different types of tubes and attachments. And it’s a workout to pull a quart of water into a syringe ha.
