Hi all, I have a ZZ pot from B&Q a few months ago. I’m trying to repot it and and it is so swollen the entire plastic pot is bulging from the sides Unfortunately, I’ve ended up pulling them out with the roots still in the other pot Have I destroyed it? Or can I plant the surviving plants into a container and they should grow?
Are there still some roots attached to the plant?
좋아요 1개 On some yes… I’ve seen some videos online about propagation and I think some of this could be salvageable
좋아요 1개Yes, you can propagate those. But they will take foreeeevvvveeeerrrrr. Mine took 2 years to put out new growth. You want to make sure any damaged ends have calloused over before putting into your medium of choice. I would also let the rhizomes callous over as well before topping with new soil.
좋아요 1개 With the propagated ones, do I treat them like nothing has happened meaning keep to the same schedule with water and light? Or would the need more water and light
0개 좋아요Not sure what your light situation is, but I had mine under a grow light (on for 12hrs/day) and watered when 70-80% dry. Once they developed a few roots I cut that back to 80-90% dry.
