I've had a zebra for years! I just put it on my windowsill and leave it alone lol. To be honest, I only water when Planta tells me. Another trick for succulents is to water when the leaves become flexible. Since these leaves don’t necessarily wrinkle when it needs to be watered, I just go off of Planta, being sure to check if the soil is still wet or moist because a homes environment with natural heat and humidity levels is going to differ, affecting the care schedule! You can stick a wooden chopstick in the soil as a type of moister meter if you don’t have one. Only water if the chopstick is dry when you take it out :)

You can buy a cheap soil moisture tester at a hardware store or probably a garden center. Should be less than 10 bucks. Makes my life much easier since succulents like to be completely dry before getting another drink.

0 likesThere is growth of small leaves and so you know that plants grow slower in winter, also succulents are slow to grow by nature and will do better in summer
