I picked these up yesterday on a mission to save some plants. Menards was drowning them lol anyways I’m not too familiar with cacti and succulents. How do I care for these? They’ll be repotted today

Repot into a chunky, well-draining mix. They're epiphytes, so they don't love dense potting soil. I switched to mine to an airy mix of orchid bark & perlite. I've gotten great growth, and multiple bloom cycles ever since. Let them dry out between waterings, not a true cacti, but they don't enjoy being water-logged. Bright, indirect light is ideal. Too much direct sun will scorch them. My oldest one loves a west facing window with a light diffusing blind. Expect bud drop. They can be dramatic when stressed or moved. I recently acquired a water-logged one and everyone here said don't repot until it was done blooming. I just removed the foil & placed a small fan near it to dry it out for a day.

I use the Better-Gro Bromilaid Blend Soil for my jungle cacti and usually add more orchid bark. Yours look like schlumbergera truncata. They don't rebloom under grow lights usually. I keep mine in the coldest window of my house so it gets natural light and shorter days to rebloom every year. The temp difference at night also helps trigger blooms on time. This one is a Thanksgiving cactus. Also, they are very thirsty. Not like regular cacti. These guys are Epiphytic and used to jungle environments living in tree tops.

Figuring out watering is key and depending on soil could be way less than what the app says. I use a moisture meter to help me decide.

Oh yes. I got a moisture meter about a month into my plant journey when I drowned 2 plants lol now they all get to live, if they want to. lol

These are tropical cacti, so they don't have many of the common succulent tendencies. I've had good luck just using regular potting soil and treating mine like any average tropical plant. It does help to put a bit of higher drainage mix at the very bottom of the pot; it makes sure the tips of the roots never sit in stagnant moisture
