I bought this string of tears two days ago at a garage sale and while I am pretty damn good with plants I have never cared for one before. Any advice on how to help it grow fuller and longer other than propagating? Or is that just the way to go? I put it in a good pot with some fresh mix today so thats why he looks a bit sad

Wait for it to dry out completely before watering it. Also they don’t do well in low light or partial sun. If you want fuller growth without having to propagate it, make sure sun hits the top of the pot (they love direct light). Hope this helps :)

It’s a string of tears actually. They are very picky but as stated above lots of light and water when dry. Mine is in a warm south facing window, In a terracotta pot with succulent mix. You can also lay them across the soil to root and you’ll get a fuller plant.

Yes, like she said, curl them onto the soil until they start rooting down. I keep doing it with all my strings until then get robust and start spilling over the sides.
