I rescued this plant recently, it was just growing without any care it seems. I only have a tiny burros tail that I took from a cutting, it constantly sheds. This guy didn’t lose many in the drive, it was that bare when I found it. What’s the best way to go about this? Can I root the stems once I give this guy a good haircut? Should I cut only a few now and then again in a couple weeks? Do I have to cut high up? Slightly attached to this guy for sentimental reasons or id wing it. I just see so many beautiful ones and want to make sure I get it looking good.

    Throw any loose beans you have on the top soil and you can root the stems. Obviously you’ll want to get rid of some of the length. This guy looks awesome though

    I love when we can embrace the wildness and the visual timeline of a succulent like this. (My stonecrop attached!) These are super hardy. Like no sugar said, any/all of those beans you throw in the soil will root. If you cut the long arms and make sure this is getting lots of light from a south or west window it will fill out really nicely. I wouldn’t hate it if you left it alone and hung it just like this though lol

      Going to replant in a day or two. Maybe add the cuttings or make a new plant once they callus a bit.
