I’ve had this cactus for a couple years now and it is doing fine but just doesn’t seem to be growing much at all ? Are these generally very slow growth plants?

Could be rootbound! When plants become rootbound they don’t always die. Sometimes they’ll just stop growing

I have one from IKEA in a 2” pot and it hasn’t grown much in a year. It probably needs a bigger pot but I love the tiny one it came in.

I find them to be slow growers without a ton of light. I have mine under a pretty strong grow light + it gets some full sun. It periodically blooms :)

Okay, maybe mine has grown a bit since giving it a bigger pot. Really, I used to stress over these so much because they can look healthy but seem semi-dormant. The culprit was me who kept moving it around :/

Strong grow lights, but I had a few others bloom in full June sun. The main key is don’t move it around; ignore it, as well :) Oh and this is happening today!
