Omg!😱 Look what just happened! It was still closed this morning! I changed his name from Spider to Mr. Xin, since it’s a chin cactus. I had no idea this would happen when I got him. The petals are actually translucent. What an exciting day!

I was thinking the same thing yesterday and I decided just to take a picture every day. I took the closed one this morning and about an hour or so later it was open! Now, he’s closed again. It’s like magic!

Lover of CactiI dont know much about this cactus species and if this cactus does this at all, but there are some flowering plants that will close during the night and open during the day or vice versa. It might be doing that.

Yes. His blooms only last one day. I was hoping it would reopen the next day, but it didn’t. He’s bloomed twice so far.
