Hey everyone, I really need help with my String of Hearts succulent. I've had it for two months, and I honestly don’t know what’s wrong. I’ve been following all the care instructions from the app, but it’s just getting worse. The first picture shows how healthy it was when I first got it. Suddenly, two weeks ago, different issues started. The app said it was overwatered, even though I hadn’t watered it for two months as recommended. Then, I took the same picture and it said it was underwatered. If anyone has advice, I would be so grateful. I’m also worried about the roots or the stems, which seem to be coming up or reporting problems. I’m feeling stressed trying to figure this out. Please, any suggestions would help.

    The current soil is too dense and stays wet for too long, which can stress and suffocate succulent roots. This plant needs to be repotted into a fast-draining, gritty mix so the roots can breathe and dry properly between waterings. Be very gentle when repotting, as the roots may be fragile. Remove the old soil, trim away any soft or rotted roots, and repot into a pot no more than ~2” larger than the root ball using a gritty succulent mix (store-bought with added pumice or perlite works well). Wait about a week before watering, then bottom water to encourage stronger root growth without excess moisture.

    to add on to previous comment, spray the roots with diluted hydrogen peroxide to prevent more rot.
