No matter what I do with this cactus it's not happy. I've had it since it was in a 4" pot so I'm attached. It started really drooping badly a week or so ago. Planta and AI suggested root rot. So I just repotted it to check the roots. Not many but the ones there were fine. I gave it new soil (cactus mix) and moved it from a grow light to a southwestern window. I've only watered it when the soil is completely dry, but it's sort of mushy. I'm clueless. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!
Most cactus could be fine outdoors with 2-3 waterings a year. Indoors you may need to just water once. Its a set it and forget type of plant. Theres new growth though, doesn’t seem too unhappy :)
0 Mi piace Thanks for the help. It definitely wouldn't like being outside here right now. Lots of snow. lol. They do go out in the summer though. I didn't water it when I repotted it. Figured I'd better not since it felt mushy. I have about 30 other cactus. No problems. This one is my problem child. 😉
