1) can these guys live together happy? 2) how long can I keep them in this? (It was a gift)

    IMO, for a while they can but in the long run, not really. Cactus can go without water for up to a month while jade would need water before that. I would separate them and grow individually. Also, during peak of Summer, jade can burn if too much sun while the cactus needs a lot of sun (that is, if it's already acclimated to full sun). Also, the cactus can only take so much water or it will crack, happened to me, lol.
