Does anyone know what's going on with this? Not a watering issue.

It’s supposedly has to with overwatering. I had it happen to a little Mexican Fence Post after bottom-watering too many times…I think.

That's what I thought but I don't see how it was overwatered. I don't water my cacti until they're bone dry and I haven't had a problem with any of the others. Any idea what I can do about the black?

Going to do that today. I've had corking happen from stress before but not black spots. 🤷♀️
0 likesI'm thinking over-watering would cause rotting at the base rather than at the top. Too high of humidity can be a problem because then bacteria can grow at the top. Some people just cut the rotted part off so that it doesn't travel down the plant.
0 likesI've never had to do that, cut the top of the plant off I just read about someone doing it.

Think I'm going to attempt that today. Thanks.
