Just got my first succulent today!Does anyone know what type and size of pot I should get?

    That looks like an Echeveria plant . They are typically easy to maintain as you don’t need to water them frequently due to them being a succulent. I wouldn’t size up the pot until you see the roots growing out of the pot or they start becoming root bound as your plant needs time to acclimate to its environment and can go into shock if you mess with it too much. Anytime you repot you always go up two sizes! I believe that is a two inch pot and eventually you would go to a 4 inch then a 6 inch etc. Hope this helps!

    They also like to be not super wet so a ceramic or clay pot or something porous they would like, but definitely will do fine in non porous. You also shouldn’t used generic potting soil. If that’s all you have, I personally keep 1 bag of perlite and 1 of soil so that for succulents you can do about 30-40% perlite and 60-70% soil.😁
