In my experience the flowers donât last too long once theyâve bloomed but it will keep blooming for a good while. If you already know this I apologize, this is a thanksgiving cactus!
3 gillningarThank you, I did not know, I just started getting into plants a few months ago. My grandma gifted this to me and said âyou need to keep this aliveâ
2 gillningarThe care is fairly similar so no biggie! Youâre doing great, it looks very happy!

1 gillaI agree it is a thanksgiving cactus, aka false Christmas cactus.

1 gillaEven though you had a few not want to play anymore... You have several more waiting to bloom. Tell Grandma you're doing well. đ§Ą

0 gillningarLooks really healthy and the blooms right on track for a thanksgiving cactus! I just removed the last of the spent flowers from mine. And my Christmas cactus will be blooming this time next week The soil does look a little dense for one of these â which could lead to problems down the road for you. These are prone to rot. In early spring I would put this into something supplemented with more fine orchid bark & perlite to promote better draining đđ»
4 gillningarthank you, Iâll definitely try that
0 gillningarIt seems to be doing absolutely fine! Itâs common for the flowers to do this, no worryâs. When I got my first Christmas cacti I was TERRIFIED when this happend, but my grandma told me it was fine. Just make sure that unlike most cacti, christmas cacti donât need full sun and in fact they do better in partial sun. Make sure to not burn the leaves and it will be fine
1 gillaThank you, Iâll continue to do what I have been
0 gillningarI definitely thought she was dying
0 gillningarSame, my very first Christmas cacti I ever got was like that. I can remember being so exited that the plant finally bloomed but then three days later the flowers shriveled up. But now the blooms pop up like crazy and havenât stoped since
