A few days ago my Christmas cactus flowers began to wilt and dry up. Does anyone have any advise?

In my experience the flowers don’t last too long once they’ve bloomed but it will keep blooming for a good while. If you already know this I apologize, this is a thanksgiving cactus!

Thank you, I did not know, I just started getting into plants a few months ago. My grandma gifted this to me and said “you need to keep this alive”

The care is fairly similar so no biggie! You’re doing great, it looks very happy!

I agree it is a thanksgiving cactus, aka false Christmas cactus.

Even though you had a few not want to play anymore... You have several more waiting to bloom. Tell Grandma you're doing well. 🧡

Looks really healthy and the blooms right on track for a thanksgiving cactus! I just removed the last of the spent flowers from mine. And my Christmas cactus will be blooming this time next week The soil does look a little dense for one of these — which could lead to problems down the road for you. These are prone to rot. In early spring I would put this into something supplemented with more fine orchid bark & perlite to promote better draining 👍🏻

It seems to be doing absolutely fine! It’s common for the flowers to do this, no worry’s. When I got my first Christmas cacti I was TERRIFIED when this happend, but my grandma told me it was fine. Just make sure that unlike most cacti, christmas cacti don’t need full sun and in fact they do better in partial sun. Make sure to not burn the leaves and it will be fine

Same, my very first Christmas cacti I ever got was like that. I can remember being so exited that the plant finally bloomed but then three days later the flowers shriveled up. But now the blooms pop up like crazy and haven’t stoped since
