HELP! Nettie just took a turn for the worse! Not sure why, she began withering the outer leaves about a week ago…any tips to help her are appreciated!

    I’ve had her for maybe 2 months. She had a withered bloom when she arrived. I haven’t watered her yet, as was recommended…what happened to my lil girl?

    are the leaves soft? if so, she's thirsty.

    The outer withering leaves are like marshmallows soft, the inner ones (that looked healthy, till today) were firm, last I checked.

    She’s dead or dying…sooo squishy and gross…😢

    The outer leaves wither as the middle absorb moisture from them as they grow. If they don’t have any further moisture to absorb and you don’t water they will die. Curious though how the middle leaves have fallen open and are mushy- I wonder if there was something going on with the roots from prior to you adopting it. I imagine if it was underwatered it would have shriveled.

      See the old shriveled outer leaf in the shadows now on the left side of the plant. That withering of old growth is normal.

      She basically turned to soup…something must have been wrong with roots or something got infected…
