What is this? It’s grown quite tall since I’ve had it. So many answers keep coming up on my search and I can’t tell 🫠 Edit: I also feel like Planta misidentified a couple of these. Pls help… I believe Planta is right with the last plant being Echevaria species Thanks!! Planta listed ‘Jade’ and ‘Lavender Scallops’ so

      He’s a false Christmas cactus, yes. I agree with Phil on the succulents. As for the other plants, I am not seeing any that look to be a jade. This one is a a kalanchoe mother of millions.

      I would personally recommend separating them, as they have different schedules for them to dry out between waterings, and wouldn’t have to fight for space or water in the long run once the grow. For example, the false Christmas cactus would prefer being watered much more often than the succulents. Trying to water that one as often as it needs to be could lead to root rot on the succulents, because they need more time to dry out between waterings, so if you like having them all together, you might want to just take the cactus out. Hope this helps.

      The pot also looks pretty large, meaning it probably requires a lot of soil to fill it and fit all of the current plants inside. That could also greatly increase the chance of overwatering and root rot as it will take a longer time for all the soil to completely dry out. If you do plan on separating them into their own pots, I would opt for plastic or terra cotta pots with drainage holes, and a well-draining cactus mix. I use Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent mix for all of the plants in your current pot. Downsizing them will allow them to dry out easily without risk of overwatering or root rot, so I’d recommend moving them each into something no more than 1-2 inches in diameter larger than the width of the root ball of each plant. I rescue a lot of mixed planters from box stores and find that the easiest way to get a bunch of succulents for cheap is to separate them at home, but they don’t tend to thrive all together in a pot. It’s a great way to get a bunch of plants for a small price, but I have yet to see one survive long-term from a box store without need of separating in the long run.

      Thanks for the recommendation! Gives me an excuse to get more pots 😍 I’ve just been watering them individually instead of the whole pot. They’ve been growing more than I expected. I do plan on moving the false Xmas cactus as big as it’ll be. Does it make any difference if it’s a self watering pot? I haven’t been using the outer pot out of fear for overwatering the soil.

      Please don’t use the bottom part if this is a self-watering pot. That will kill any cactus and succulent 👍
