I'm trying to propagate a succulent and I'm not sure that it's doing so well. Do yall think a wet paper towel in a bag would incourage it... the leaf I'm using is wrinkly with not very many roots and I keep watering it but it stays wrinkly. Can anyone help me?

I would not put it with a paper towel in a bag, that’s likely too wet for it. As the propagation produces new roots and eventually leaves, you can expect the old leaf to dry out, which is totally normal. Sometimes they just take a while to get started, I wouldn’t worry too much about the wrinkling assuming it isn’t too severe. Rather, pay attention to if the new roots and/or leaves are being produced as your indicator

It's really wrinkly and has little to no roots

Wrinkling is normal as the old leaf gives up to the roots growing, but you want to leave it alone. Stop watering.

Yup, it’s supposed to be wrinkly that’s the natural process. A succulent’s leaves are designed to fall off and then use the stored water and nutrients in that leaf to send out roots to make a new plant. You want it to dry out

Just simply take a leaf off and place it in a separate pot. Wait around 20 days and it will propagate (Dont forget to mist it!)
