Moony keeps being this tilted form and I feel like he’s not growing much so do y’all have any ideas on better soil and tips to make Moony more comfortable? (If you haven’t guessed Moony is a Moon Cactus.)

plantgeekmoon cactus grow very very slowly because they have no chlorophyll of their own. the green trunk you see is actually another cactus that the moon cactus has been attached to. that soil is far too dense, you need more amenities than soil in the pot. get a cactus specific soil mix.

These are kind of set up to fail because the top can't photosynthesize and the bottom has nowhere to grow. For now, make sure the green part is getting enough light. If you'd like to keep the red part alive long-term, you'll need to re-graft it onto a root stock that can actually support it; it needs to only be on the top of one branch on a root cactus that has many branches. Dragonfruit is the current root stock, and can work if it has more than one top point. Fairy castle cactus can also be a good root for it. To keep the dragonfruit part of it alive, you'd either wait for the moony to die and then chop the top, or hope it'll branch for you. Otherwise, just treat it as a fun temporary plant
