Eeekkkk!!! I accidentally knocked Arnold off the shelf and his glass shattered! I made him at an event a few weeks ago. I don’t have any extra succulent soil or pebbles! What do I do in the interim to keep him ok before I can get him repotted?!

What does the actual plant look like right now? Specifically the root system.
0 J'aimeThey weren’t rooted when I planted them a month ago, but seem to have rooted a bit.
1 j'aimeHonestly just scoop everything up, soil included, then put it in a bowl until your able to repot. Definitely don't water until it's been repotted and stabilized for a few weeks. When you repot make sure there is a drainage hole and you use gritty fast draining soil. You can make your own mix or buy a specialty one off Amazon. I perfer terracotta for my cacti and succulents.
3 J'aimeDo you pot directly into the terracotta then since it drains? That doesn’t hold too much moisture? I’ve been doing well with tropical plants but I’m newer with succulents so still getting used to the moisture level differences
1 j'aimeYes I pot directly into terracotta because it's porous and helps it dry out faster. I avoid ceramic and plastic because it doesn't let the roots breathe and causes root rot.
0 J'aimeThere are other types of clay pots people use too. For succulents people will also use a shallower pot thats not as deep to also help dryout time and prevent extended moisture.
0 J'aimeThanks!!
