I’ve had both of these tall cactus plants for about a week- both seem to be on a trajectory toward significant leaning. How aggressively should I try to intervene?

So this could happen for a number of reasons one being that maybe that window is giving too much light or amplifying the sun rays like a magnifying glass, another could be that the roots in the pot could be crooked or leaning (worth giving it a check), and the last is totally situational but there could be another light source it’s being attracted to rather than the wind it’s right in front of. I hope this helps!

Hi, Autumn! Thanks for the response. Both of these guys were re-potted this week from their original nursery containers, and then watered, so some of it maybe could be that the soil is a little soft or perhaps that I should add some more. I haven’t ever tried stakes or bamboo, and I’m wondering that’s a way to “correct” before it gets too far?

Yes! You could totally use some tall bamboo stakes and zip tie them in place and eventually that should correct the issue regardless of what the problem was

Thank you! I just put together a DIY grow light sitch, so I’ll get some stakes this week.
