I think an animal got ahold of my succulent; it has a few leaves missing and some damaged ones now. Should I clip off the damaged ones?

Birds like them too
1 j'aimeBless its heart. Well, I don’t give up on plants until they give up on me so, here are my suggestions. - You really can just walk away and leave it to see what happens. - If you want to be more proactive, you can clear away those tiny damaged leaves on top so they don’t rot. But leave the big ones to photosynthesize. Maybe remove the top two medium ones that got chewed worse too in case bacteria was introduced. Then just leave it to grow more leaves or a baby plant on top. - You could be drastic and remove all the big leaves and propagate to make more plants instead of trying to save this one. - Or maybe, do the second idea, but also pull one leaf for propagation and leave the rest to grow. That one leaf should give you a baby plant that can be a back up if that one doesn’t make it.
2 J'aimeAh thank you! I’m going to do the very last one! I’m going to trim off the little ones, then take a leaf to propagate! Would the big one that was damaged do okay for Propagating?
0 J'aimeI’ve always heard that you should start with a very healthy leaf so the resulting baby plant will be healthy. From my experience though, a sick leaf will just rot and not make a baby plant at all. I don’t really think you have to worry about it making a sick baby plant if it is infected with something. So you could try any leaf you want. If it starts rotting, just grab another healthy leaf and try again.😊
