What would y’all recommend for this guy as far as root growth? Bought him online and he’s a super healthy/beautiful succulent but it’s like they broke all the roots off. Should I remove a bunch of the bottom leaves and try to make a “stem” to propagate or set it on some soil and try to prop roots that way? The problem is that the root system isn’t level with the bottom of the leaves so it’s hard to get the soil mounded up to reach the roots. Thank you!!

Wow I love the colors! I would just nestle it down in some succulent soil give it a couple days and then water enough to get the soil wet, let dry out and then water again. If you have some rooting powder perhaps brush some on before settling into the soil.

Yeah, I would take off the bottom three only though, and once it does grow from the root nub I wouldn't do more than that.

Probably not necessary though, and root growth powder could help if you have it.

I would just dip it in rooting powder and pop it on top of a good gritty mix and push down slightly. It should easily root again

I agree with just setting it on top with some rooting powder and press down lightly. If you decide to take off some of the leaves lay them on the soil as well and they will root too. May take a little while in the winter but they will start.

These are some I started last spring and they have grown into 4" pots already

Just make the stem is actually touch the soil. Perhaps set it on a little mound of soil. It will take few weeks to root. Water when it looks and feels dehydrated, not before. The plants in my pic were all done the same way. I got them when I deconstructed one of my large displays. They rooted and are doing fine. You have a beautiful plant.
