Hello! New here! Also very very new to plants. Got this one the other day. How often would you guys recommend watering this?

Are the larger leaves on the left coming out of the same pot as the cactus? If so they should have very different watering requirements and would recommend repotting into smaller pots individually. Make sure it has drainage holes.

Okay I will repot the plant with leaves. They are in one pot. Can I keep the cactus and succulent together? There are no drainage holes in this pot

You could probably keep the succulent in the cacti in the same pot, although the pot looks like it may be quite big for just those two small plants (not from an aesthetic standpoint, but concern for overwatering, and thus root rot). Based on my own experience and a history of killing plants in pots without drainage holes I would very highly recommend using a pot with drainage holes to prevent root rot unless it’s a species of plant you’re very comfortable with and therefore really have a good understanding of the watering needs.
2 gillningarShe’s absolutely right. You’ll do well with both but the big leaf one looks like a golden pothos and it needs water much more frequently. So far I’ve done well following Planta’s water and feed schedule. You have a succulent, cactus and the pothos. I’ve never done well with succulents. The general rule of thumb is if you push a wood skewer to the bottom of the pot the cactus lives in and leave it there for 15-30 seconds and it comes out dry dry… you’re good to go ahead and water it. Pretty little plant family there! I love that you have the opportunity to find out if there’s a particular type of plant that’s perfect for you or if you’re about to have a jungle 😁💜

Thank you! Would you recommend repotting all three plants individually?
1 gillaYou can keep the succulent and the cactus together if you like but definitely get the other guy his own place 😊

What if this pot doesn’t have any drainage holes? Can I keep the succulent and cactus in it? Or should I repot them into a pot with drainage holes?
3 gillningarAbsolutely use pots with drainage for all the plants good luck 🍀 🪴
3 gillningarGreat question! You always want a pot with drainage. If you have the money and the want to, now is a great opportunity to repot the cactus and succulent into a soil mix made for cacti and succulents and then a nice indirect plant potting soil. There are also fertilisers specific to those plant types. For my regular plants I bought a granular fertiliser that you mix with water. I make up a jug and use it as needed. I’m not an expert but that’s working well for me so far.

Thanks everyone!! Will repot all of them today! Glad I posted this!😂
1 gillaThese groups are awesome 💜
1 gillaThe large leaf is a philodendron Brasil. The like well draining soil with lots of perlite. They do well in bright indirect light. Direct sunlight will burn the leaves. Water when the soil is completely dry. Fertilize once a month with diluted fertilizer in colder months, twice a month in spring/summer. They are one of my favorite philodendrons!

Remember the TV show Lost In Space? When I saw this picture my brain said: - Danger! DANGER! Danger Penny Robinson! - How about a little Sesame Street? - One of these things is not like the other. One of these things just belong. Can you tell which thing is not like the other before I finish this song. - One loves water the others tolerate water. There is no balance between the two.
