Hi! My Blue Myrtle is worrying me. Watering about every 6 days and it’s dry when I do. Under a shade cloth in this Arizona sun so it shouldn’t be getting burned by that. It’s close to the wall, but not as close as it looks, maybe 10”. The dark at the top has worsened over the last week or so. A little on the right side as well. Any ideas please? I hope you don’t say it’s the heat from the wall. I’m really worried about that. I may be able to bring it out another 6”.
I think maybe more sun, and water it every 7 days

좋아요 1개 I know and I had them all in full sun. This 115 degree Arizona sun seems to too much after the morning sun. A lot of them are burned. I’m trying to figure out now which ones are okay in the sun and for how long 🙄

You should also wait until the soil is completely dry before you water it again

Were there injuries near or around both of the darkened areas?
0개 좋아요 No, but I can say he’s pretty new here (maybe 5 or 6 weeks) and I won’t swear there wasn’t a slight darkness there in the beginning. Just seems to have gotten worse in the last week.

0개 좋아요 It looks, at first glance like rot and an injury on the top one. I had difficulty with these and I can’t keep them here in the Midwest because it’s just too humid and water sitting in those little nooks rotted them out multiple times. If it spreads and begins to get mushy, just cut it off and keep dry.
