Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could help me with my paddle plant (Kalanchoe). The original plant has gotten tall and has sprouted a new plant at its base. Since the new one came up the original one is not looking so good. Sort of droopy. I’ve been keeping to the regular watering schedule and fertilizing as well. Does the old plant die off when it gets a new sprout?

    No. But the sprout is a good sign. If it’s starting to get spindly and droopy sounds like it needs some more light. What’s the watering schedule like?

      The watering schedule is about every 45 days or so. I have watered it a bit more than that lately now that I think about it. I’ll try moving it closer to the window and under a grow light. Thank you so much! This is one of my first plants so I’d hate to have it go:(

    That watering sounds perfect to me. Perhaps just more light. I think it still has lots of life in it. Just a little bit droopy, if you’re worried you can propagate that baby one and give it a new start too! I think with some light it should perk up. 😊

      Thank you, I just moved it and some leaves fell off, I also removed a few. I’ll update in a few weeks!
