Well, it appears I need some advice whichever I should with this. My best friend gifted me multiple aloe vera a year ago and sadly others has died off so that left me with this last one. Two days ago, I discovered spider mites and got to work and left it outside for one night to prevent any more infestation to my many more houseplants inside. Checking it over today, I was disappointed that no roots had been developed and thought maybe I did something wrong all along. I asked my best friend how I should approach with this, either chunk it in the trash or revive it? He thinks I should cut off the brown bottom and try to save the white parts and let it callous it over, but he isn’t sure either as we both don’t have experiences with aloe vera.

First. Whenever I see mites or any pest I spray the plant and soil with water with about 2/2 tablespoon of any dish soap per two cups water. Since this is already out of soil. I’d just submerge it all in some soapy water. Works like a charm I agree cut off brown. Let it callus over. Then plant in any succulent soil mix.
