I did figure out how to remove the bottom so now it can drain... any other tips?

That is a normal thing, it is natural for succulents to lose leaves as they get older, so there is nothing to worried about. So as long as it is the older leaves falling off and not new ones or at an alarming rate, then everything is fine.

That is a moonstone succulent. I am currently dealing with the same thing with this plant, and my ghost plant.

This guy needs a lot more light! The leaves shouldn’t be that far apart, it’s stretching itself out to search for light

Insufficient light can show as dropped lower leaves and lanky growth. My graptopetalum dropped lower leaves, stretched and bent towards the light. The two plants were relocated to an outside planter where they get lots of bright light.
