Worried about my cactus leaning. He’s become very top heavy, and the thin etiolated section is struggling. Should I get some supports or will he straighten up on his own?

John G AmeroHello. Leaning will be the least of your worries if you have this succulent for a while. I think this succulent is more hardy than a snake plant. I can let both types of plant completely dry out. And they are in similar soil. Then water them and the snake plant will always complain that it’s wet. Like some kid at the pool. Extremely easy to cut, let the cut and dry up a little bit, replant, and boom it’ll takeoff again. I had just like you do, two tiny tall hairy pads, in a teeny tiny pot. Now? Now I’m thinking of purchasing some teeny tiny pots of my own and go sell all these pads for $2 or $3, mainly to cover the cost of the pot. I bet I could plant about 25 pads into individual pots. I have rows and rows and rows of these fast growing succulents in one pot. Another pot with with tall pads too. And a third pot with all kinds of shaped pads. And all from two teeny tiny pads in a teeny tiny pot 4 years ago. I just wish they were hairier. —— A day at the pool —— Plant 1: Mommy they splashed water on me & I don’t like getting wet. Parent: Seriously? What did you think was going to happen when you begged us to bring you to the pool? You don’t see your brother complaining about being wet. Plant 2: Dont be a baby. It’s water. Let it flow over & off you. Like this worm in your hair! Plant 1: AHHHHHHH!!!!!! Parent 1: We did want kids right? Parent 2: I think so. Your mother asked “When are you having kids?” Parent 1: Maybe she meant “getting kids”, like goats. —— The end ——
