Hi y’all, does anyone know what’s wrong with one of my succulents? I noticed this today. I was away on vacation for a couple days and watered it 9 days ago. If you look at the other pic there’s definitely a difference.

Yes, a big difference. It’s becoming etoliated. It’s reaching for sun. The color is gone also because of not enough light. Sempervivum need sun or very strong grow lights. They do best with seasonal changes. But I have some inside.
0 LikesI have it under a grow light. Maybe the light isn’t strong enough.
0 LikesThe strength of grow lights vary greatly. The generic tube looking lights that are so common are of little use. The ability to change the color of the light is also of little use. It’s more of a marketing ploy. Wattage should be a minimum of 10 watts. But even then the better brands are brighter at 10 watts. There are several good brands but most will agree that Sansi and Barrina are the most trusted. Maybe my pic can give you an idea of the light intensity needed. Sansi light.
2 LikesYeah the lights I have are in a tube form. I hadn’t had any issues before till recently it seems.
