I’m so sad. I think I over watered my baby. I came in my office this morning and seen some rotting. Can it be saved? If so any tips on what to do??

Does the pot have drainage holes? That’s important. I hope you can save your baby 💜
3 gillningarNoooo im going to get a pot with holes after work. Thank you!
1 gillaI would make a clean cut above where the rot ends and let it dry out a bit before putting it in new dry soil. It should form new roots eventually, but it will probably continue to rot if left untreated
5 gillningarWhat soil do you recommend? Like brand? Sorry

I agree with Krista, any soil that is labeled as cactus or succulent soil should do well, good luck!

If you absolutely can’t find cactus soil in-store, I would recommend ordering some online. Over time, that potted plant soil will harm your cactus. It’ll hold onto A LOT of moisture for long periods of time and that’s the opposite of what cacti like. Well draining soil formulated for succulents and cacti is HIGHLY recommended, as a soggy root system will cause root rot and kill the plant.
1 gillaBeautiful cacti tho
