I’m so sad. I think I over watered my baby. I came in my office this morning and seen some rotting. Can it be saved? If so any tips on what to do??

    Does the pot have drainage holes? That’s important. I hope you can save your baby 💜

    I would make a clean cut above where the rot ends and let it dry out a bit before putting it in new dry soil. It should form new roots eventually, but it will probably continue to rot if left untreated

      What soil do you recommend? Like brand? Sorry

      I use this and have good luck. I get it at Walmart.

      I agree with Krista, any soil that is labeled as cactus or succulent soil should do well, good luck!

    I didn’t find any cactus one so I got this one. Hope this one helps too

      If you absolutely can’t find cactus soil in-store, I would recommend ordering some online. Over time, that potted plant soil will harm your cactus. It’ll hold onto A LOT of moisture for long periods of time and that’s the opposite of what cacti like. Well draining soil formulated for succulents and cacti is HIGHLY recommended, as a soggy root system will cause root rot and kill the plant.
