Plant

It might sound like a silly question, but when my flowers die on my kalanchoe plant, should i cut them off? And if I cut them, will the plant be able to bloom from the same area again? I tried cutting before but then the entire stem turned brown.

  1. Sphagnum P.I.

I over-pruned my kalanchoes the last time they bloomed and almost killed them. Cutting too low/too aggressively made the entire stem dry out and I was left with not but a little green stick. I’d pluck the flowers off and wait for the stem to dry up /completely/ (the next node should be dry and calloused over by then) until it can be plucked off too.
