When repotting my jade āgollumā the roots were completely stuck to the bottom of the old pot that Iād say 70% of the roots were ripped off š© I transferred the poor thing to the new pot anyway and now just hope for the best! Anything I could do at all to help with the recovery? Thanks!!
Iād like to see some peopleās tips too. Iāve been putting off repotting gollum jade for way too long because last time I also had a hard time. Mine is really big but really delicate. Itās been just hanging in there for years š£ Out of all my ~100 plants, for some reasons a jade is the one I struggle to get to thrive š¤Ŗ

You should let the roots dry out a few hours before repotting to help form callouses to seal the broken root ends. This helps prevent bacterial/fungal infections. Repot afterwards. Add rooting hormone powder to boost new root growth. You may lose some branches or leaves with the large root loss. Just trim them if they die off and remove dead leaves off the soil.

Avoid watering earlier than you would have before repotting. The plant may look worse before it looks better, but adding too much water or too soon sets up for root rot.
