I got this cactus a few weeks ago and it came with this brown spot, I’m wondering if anyone could tell me what it is and how to treat it?

DanishGrammaIf it’s firm when you poke it with a stick, then it’s normal corking and part of its charm. If it’s soft then it’s rot and you should harvest the pups. I hope it’s corking 🤞

When I poked it, it was about as firm as the other parts of the cactus, but then again it had some squish to it, is that promising?
