What does it mean if a plant is sun-stressed?
1 gillaSun stress is the plant changing color to protect itself from sunburns. Itâs similar to a tan. Hoyas, cacti and succulents are some plants that sun stress with many colors. The ability to produce beautiful sun stressed colors can increase the value of the plant. The picture is a Hoya New Guinea Ghost. A cutting with one node sells for $45 to $90!
1 gillaThank you for explaining this, as I feel about 20% confident that Iâm doing this ârightâ ha. One of my haworthia started going pink underneath, and I moved it. It felt like one more task to deal with. This was purely accidental, as all I generally get is sunburned spots. Iâm going to see if I can accidentally get these colors on my Gray Ghosts (image not mine).
