I am really sad my brain cactus has a piece that turned brown. Normal? Possible cause?

    The shrivelled up brown one is dead, it could of been under or overwatered

      I would just so it stops it killing off anymore of the plant. Dont water it til the cut has calloused over fully. Get it under a grow light for the winter so they can get that extra light. That’s what I did this year and so far the only cactus plant I have lost this winter is one and that was coz I couldn’t get her under a grow light. I am guttered I had her for years 🤦🏻‍♀️
