Oh my gosh! My friend brought this poor aloe plant to me this evening and asked me to âfix itâ for her. đŹ Itâs rotted at the base. Please help me rescue this poor thing. I donât even know where to begin.

It looks like it is time to propagate that poor plant and start over.
2 gillningarTy for your reply. đ Do u have any prop suggestions for me? The top portion is heavy/healthy and even has some new growth. Iâm not very familiar with aloe vera plants. Sounds scary. Lol.

make a cut several nodes above the rotten portion (around all those dead leaves) and keep cutting until all that remains is healthy tissue. peel away at least 3-4 leaves above the cut so the plant can grow roots at that portion of the stem. allow it to callous, propped upright, for a few weeks, ideally until you see some root nubs growing, then plant in a moistened succulent/cactus mix
3 gillningarTy! Is it possible to make several plants from this one? I feel that it will always be top-heavy leading to more problems in the future.

Also give it as much light as possible. From the look of the growth pattern it wasnât given enough light. Looks leggy like it was reaching for more light.
