Does anyone know how I can get my thanksgiving cactus to grow or flower? It was propagated about a year ago and I haven’t seen any growth or anything and the flower fell off a week after I got it.

Mine was dying so I had to propagate the healthy leaves. Mine was certainly a slow grower, but it has grown a lot in a year. It needs a good amount of light, nothing like direct sun but bright, next to a sunny window. Treat it like a succulent, and give it some watered down liquid fertilizer. I honestly followed the tips that this app gave me, and it is doing amazing! If it’s been that long with no improvements, I would probably see if anything is wrong with the roots.

I used fish emulsion to get my cutting to grow and it sits in my northeast window. I got it last April and I was surprised when it bloomed.

I add fertilizer to mine during summer and once after it fully Flowers. It has worked for my baby plants and the 16 year old mother plant I have. Also the flowers don’t last long in my experience. Last year my flowers only lasted 2 weeks on my 16 year old plant.

Does it have roots? These are pretty hard to kill but if it hasn’t changed at all in a year…
