It’s been a gnarly couple weeks of addressing the fact that a cactus I bought in the summer brought Scale to my house. Okay, I (unknowingly) brought Scale to my house. I’m out of the honeymoon phase with these plants. In my defense, I have 99ish plants, and at least 60 have white wool haha. But now, after reading so much about Scale, every white spot on a plant gives me pause. I’ve scrubbed and doused and added various anti-bug things, quarantined and sacrificed a few. So it’s nice when one of these things tells you, “Hey, man. I’m fine with cooling off during a couple cloudy days. I brought you flowers.”

I lost a mother plant & I’ve been trying to keep her pups alive but not sure if I’m doing it right.

Gosh. I think these look good. Mine looked like complete garbage for six months. I thought it was dead, but repotted it, anyway. It’s been in a South window since July and doing well.

They are all rooted in but I still water them every other day with a little bit of water. They have never been drenched. I have no idea when I should stop or how! Lol

That’s why I rarely propagate anything. When does it stop? I have a gigantic palm branch in that situation, and I’m relying on its “amazing regenerative abilities” to tell me what’s up. Rooted, I think you’re ready for a regular schedule, but that’s only what I would do.
