I just purchased this today and the label says christmas cactus, is this correct or is it something else? Also please send any care tips since it is my first one and do not want to kill it!!

    I’ve had success with my Christmas and Thanksgiving cactus by keeping them in a west facing window, one is about a foot away and the other is 3 feet away. I follow Planta’s care schedule. Sometimes I skip a watering if the soil feels too moist. They are beautiful plants, enjoy!

    This is called either a Thanksgiving or sometimes false Christmas cactus but this is really only in North America since thanksgiving is not a thing in the majority of the world. Below are the correct botanical names.
