Hi everyone! Is there something wrong with my succulent? I noticed the middle of it turning pink last week, and repotted it this past weekend. Also, does anyone know what this succulent is called? For reference I live in Chicago, this is a north facing window, and it just got cold here. The plant is in the window because that’s the brightest part of my place.

That’s a house leek. They are very hard to keep happy indoors as they need copious amounts of light. They can survive the cold down to -20°F or -29°C

Is the increasing amount of pink a sign of not enough light?

I don’t know which particular species of house leek this is but many of them get beautiful red sun stress in high light conditions so I would think it should get greener as time goes on if light exposure isn’t increased. The leaves are flattened in an effort to increase sunlight surface exposure so maybe you’re just seeing the inner red that was initially hidden when the plant was more compact.

Here is a picture of some different varieties of leeks. Notice the leaves are all pointed up in all of them and the brilliant red colors on the ones to the bottom right.
