I’ve got a super long Rat Tail/Peanut cactus (me and the plant store owner still don’t know which). And it’s beginning to fall over. What should I do? Cut it off and replant the top? Add a stick?

Could always add a small tomato trellis.

That’s a good idea!

Or maybe a heavier pot so it doesn’t keep falling over. I think it will eventually try to tail and be top heavy even with the tomato trellis

I would also highly suggest rotating your plant often, it’s been growing towards the light, rotate every once in a while so all sides get even light.(unless it’s a plant where you want all the leaves facing one direction)

Thank you! I do. I would describe the plant as more floppy so even when I turn it, it’s so heavy, it won’t change direction
0 LikesI find myself rotating my plants to make sure all of the plant gets light. It looks like its reaching for the window:0 lol

Haha it does look like that. But I did flip it that way. Its very floppy and that is not its permanent spot. It’s so heavy at this point even when I turn it, it’s not changing direction.
1 LikeI think it’s more peanut cactus than rat tail. Both cactus trail The peanut will have some standing straight up and some that hang.
0 LikesRat tail is much thinner
