Hi, I just wanted someone more experienced and knowledgeable to confirm this. So, succulents hold water in their leaves since their normal habitat is very dry with not much water so they have to store it, anyway you already knew that... so what I'm saying is when the soil is dry it isn't time to water because the succulent will still have watered stored so if you water it then the plant won't take up any water as it doesn't need it buttttt if you wait till the leaves start to wrinkle just slightly, that's when you need to water as it's starting to use up the water in the leaves. Am I correct?

Hi! Succulents and Cacti do store water in their leaves but you only want to water when the soil is BONE dry. Almost when it feels like it can be slid out of the pot. But don’t do it when leaves start to wrinkle, this means that it’s their last resort to get water. So water when soil is bone dry! I am in zone five so I water every week and they are doing so much better than when I watered just randomly once a month.

Do you guys use Planta’s care plan with watering guidance for your succulents?

I find when Planta tells me it's time to water the soil is normally still wet so I use the alerts as more of a reminder to Check if they need water and if not I snooze them and I snooze alerts a lot
