Hi I’m very new to this. This is my grandfathers plant very old and I would like to propagate it and make it fuller. How would I go about doing so?

    What type of plant is it? If you look up the care and propagation methods for it on google you should be able to do it.

      It’s a pencils cactus. That’s all I know. Thanks for the advice.

      I looked it up and there is good info on google. Don’t do the water method that I previously suggested.

    It’s easy to propagate. Every time I trim mine, I let the cuttings sit in a shady spot for a week to callus. Then pop them in soil and water as normal. Use caution. The sap is very irritating to the skin, mucus membrane and eyes. Definitely follow Carrie’s advice about researching the plant before cutting on it.
