Hello! I received this succulent as a birthday present. I’ve never really had one before so it’s been a learning experience. My cat unfortunately knocked it over a couple months ago, many leaves(?) were lost. It’s also been wobbly since, hence the stakes. Anyone know what kind of succulent it is? Any advice? The new growth on the top makes me feel like I’m doing something right. 😅 Thanks in advance!

it's a painted echeveria :) I recently accidentally knocked a bunch of leaves off mine too lol it looks like it's not getting enough light where it is now. they stretch out when they're desperate to reach some sun, which gives it a lean appearance like that and can make them lopsided. get it closer to a window if you can and that should help over time. if it bothers you, you can remove the bottom leaves, cut the stem down if necessary, wait for the cuts to heal over, then bury the stem deeper into the pot. it should grow new roots out and in the meantime the buried stem will help hold. I'm currently doing this with mine and it's working out well so far

I may be brave and give that a try. I have recently been putting it right in front of the window. I’m learning! ^^ It’s also just a really gloomy day outside, lol. Thanks a lot for the advice/info!

no problem! you can also save the leaves to propagate them as well :)
