I just noticed one of my aloe plants is oozing red. Is it okay? I’ve never had this happen before.

It’s hard to get it on picture but looks like it’s coming from a cut edge off of the leaf.

Did it start as red? Or was it clear and just left a red stain? If it started a red, that leaf is most likely rotten. Remove it, unpot your aloe and check for root.

Thank you. It would’ve started clear so I’ll repot and check it.

If it started as clear, that is normal

It’s aloe gel. And it can stain. You can cut the leaf further to see if it’s clear or rotten, to make extra sure. But if you saw it when it first happened and it was clear, it’s just aloe juice/gel

Looks like it was broken or cut. The plant could be trying to seal the opening. Good advice above. It will smell if it rotted.
