Hello! Question: I repotted aloe last year and it has gotten huge. What should I do about the leaves that are so much that are lower than the pot and breaking at the tips? Do I need to repot in a bigger pot again? Thanks!

I would definitely repot into a BIGGER pot. As for the little ones I see growing on the side (not the mother plant), when you’re repotting cut them (with the roots ofc) and plant them in a new pot.

Thank you! I just saw they they should only be reported every 2-5 years, but it has like more than doubled in size in less than a year

I would not repot. No one has said what we should do with the enormous aloe leaves. I believe Once they come off the pot is fine.

This was Mr. Zombie in a nice big pot. Two of us had to carry him. Now Mr. Zombie can be carried in one hand with s cup of coffee in the same hand. There was no way I was giving him more of the house in a bigger pot. Enough was enough. So he grows really big and then dies back and he grows really big and then dies back. It’ll be the fourth year that we’ve gone through this kind of a cycle. That’s why he’s called Mr. Zombie.

And what he looks like right now after loosing all his long thick tentacle arms in March and April of this year and spending the summer out side in the yard. Ready to become a Monster again

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It makes sense it would naturally go through those cycles.
