I had to kill off 5 of my succulents this morning. It’s a sad day 😞 *This is not one of the dead plants, just one of my healthy ones.

Pretty much any succulents you try to grow indoors will succumb to death eventually. They are really not able to thrive with low light indoor conditions and pretty much anything indoors is low light in terms of their needs. They really need the brightness and full sun of outdoors. Or grow lights.

Danika… Do you think they actually work AND will hold? Or is it trial by error? John: How many do you think it will hold? Danika: Not sure. John: Let’s try it. A one, a two, a three, a four…oops. Three plants before you hit the floor. Danika: I feel like this test has been done before. John: Nahh. I’m going to the kitchen to get a Tootsie Pop. Want one? Danika: Funny guy. John: I try.

Dave. Have you ever just stored your cacti in the basement light or no light? I saw a guys basement and he just brings in his cactus and goes “See you in a month or two to see if you need water.” He goes up the stairs, turns out the light, and closes the door. 😳😲🤯 He says he lets them kind of hibernate. Thoughts?

Fascinating screen play! Lol. Yeah that test would be sad demise eventually. I only have one window suction shelf currently to hold bird seed feeder in outside of window and it works great. They probably state the load limits on product, and yeah its probably not meant for heavy rocks and ceramic pots. More small lighter weight ones. 😜

Hibernating cacti DOES seem feasible! Plants are so adaptable and depending on where you live in proximity to the equator (the amount of day light hours… some places experience complete darkness 24 hours a day during winter), some plants are forced into this hibernating state naturally already. Like the fizzle sizzle. Makes sense!

Moving to a new apartment. This is an awesome idea. Thanks!
